Poems From A Spiritual Heart: Snowing The Perfect Balance

Poems From A Spiritual Heart: Snowing The Perfect Balance: From Denny: The morning was so very perfect, enjoying the falling snow, cuddling into the silence snow brings, that it brought out a snow poem that I combined with the idea of how our perceptions affect our sense of Time.

Dennys Funny Quotes: Cat Philosopher: Curty Talks About Seizing Opportunity

Dennys Funny Quotes: Cat Philosopher: Curty Talks About Seizing Opportunity: From Denny: Cat Philosophers are very wise. They understand the vision of living in the present and seizing the day. You see, success comes to he who waits patiently for the situation to turn to his advantage while his goal is in sight.

Take note that Curty also believes in secondary fall back positions: When the food you want escapes, enjoy the food available.

Dennys: News Politics Comedy Science Arts & Food: Best Funny Mothers Day Quotes, Trivia, Photography, Poetry: From Denny: Today is the day we honor the mothers in our lives. Sometimes, those mothering women are our fond memories of those who helped us to become better and stronger people today.

They may be our biological or adoptive mothers, grandmothers, aunts, older friends who mentored us, fabulous school teachers. Whoever the best women are in your lives, take a moment today and this week to enjoy the best of what they gave to you.

As I've blogged over the past few years, there are now a happy pile of women inspired posts and some very funny Mother's Day quotes to enjoy:

Poems From A Spiritual Heart: The Long Road, An Easter Poem

The Road to Loneliness

Poems From A Spiritual Heart: The Long Road, An Easter Poem: From Denny: An Easter poem about how sacrifice can deliver unexpected pleasant surprises. With global protests against oppressive governments, like the Arab Spring in the Middle East, and against greedy Big Business like the Occupy Protests in the West, it is evident there is great need in the world.

When economic times and society get hard pressed what is the one thing you can do about all the wrong going on around you? You can be a friend. You can slow down, even come to a full stop on your own life, and look around to see what is happening in your vicinity.

To address the needs, think of offering some real friendship and mentor those around you. You will be surprised how many people will tell you how glad they are you took time for them as they thought no one would ever notice how much they were struggling. It could be at work, at church, your neighborhood, the local grocery store, anywhere. Offering the fact that you care is often the most appreciated.

Visual Insights: 57 Best Of Clever Romantic Valentines Day Photos: From Denny: Check out the cutest and funniest pet photos for Valentine's Day.

Then it's on to artistic creative photographers trying to figure out how to capture the theme of the day. It's tough to come up with something new and different for such an overdone theme as hearts. I especially like the ones of men walking across great distances in the cold weather clutching flowers for their ladies.

There are crafters and artists with creative turns on the theme, with links to their blogs. Not to be missed are the cupcake, cake and coffee food photos. One is a plate of rose petals with a fork.

Be sure to click on the photos to go to the photographers' flickr pages and blogs where they discuss their art process or the situation for the photo.

I sure had fun going through 2700 photos to do this post because so many made me laugh and others were food for inspiration. Happy Valentine's Day!

Dennys: News Politics Comedy Science Arts & Food: Posts Roundup at Dennys Blogs - 17 Nov 2011: From Denny: Check out blog posts on photography, arts, food, news, politics, a huge amount of humor - especially the political pundits, poetry, astronomy, quotes, music, spiritual and just about anything else that catches my eclectic interest. Can you tell that 140 characters just doesn't work for me? :)

The last posts roundup I did was back in June and we sure are overdue like a long pregnancy. Be sure to bookmark this post as you will enjoy endless hours of laughing while you absorb some good information.

Most of the blog posts are at my flagship blog that spun off into the other 20, The Social Poets, where the news crashes into humor. I even manage to write a few in-depth news posts, slicing and dicing the BS that passes for truth these days on the airwaves.

And to think I do all this in my spare time... Hope you enjoy!

The Social Poets: Fathers Day Posts: Quotes, Photos, Humor, Music. Poetry: "From Denny: Enjoy some funny quotes from fathers about being a father. Get inspired from some inspirational quotes about fathers and from fathers.

Enjoy two musicians - Keith Urban and Abel Ullon - and what they have to say about what it is like being a father and observing their own fathers as parents.

Most of all, enjoy some wonderful photography from a variety of amateurs and professionals, revealing fathers in their most intimate moments with their children. Taking a snooze, playing sand castle on the beach, riding on daddy's shoulder, hanging out with pregnant mom, daddy gazing into the eyes of his newborn, daddy cookies baked just for him, playing 'kids in the bucket,' learning to play music, and getting kisses from his little girls on his special day to be honored - at least once a year! :)"

Visual Insights: Dennys Photo Gallery: Beautiful Australia: "From Denny: What a wonderful find is this photographer from Australia. She gives us a travelogue and history of the images she recorded of her country. The landscape exhibits a wild beauty, drenched in color.

Some excellent landscape photos and some penetrating character portraits are part of her collection over at flickr. These photos of Australia go far beyond the usual tourism photos. In fact, Australian travel and tourism should employ this photographer. It sure makes me want to hop a plane and endure the excessively long ride from America just to see Australia! There is a lot more to Australia than the Great Barrier Reef so often advertised.

But if you can't get time off to see Australia, this photographer sure makes you feel like you are there. Along the way, as you view her images, you get drawn into the culture and people of Australia. Enjoy the journey through her eyes! I've included some of her observations, cultural information and comments.

All photos are from Dreamscope Photography @ flickr."
